Chiho Environmental Group Limited (“Chiho Environmental”) released a supplemental announcement on 11 September 2026 detailing developments following the 1 June 2026 removal of former executive director Mr. Qin.

The board confirmed that, immediately after his removal, Mr. Qin emailed the Company on 1 June 2026 disputing both the procedure and the financial terms of his termination. Key allegations include: • Insufficient notice for the board meeting that approved three new independent non-executive directors; • Non-payment of contractual entitlements, allegedly breaching the service contract and Hong Kong’s Employment Ordinance (Cap. 57); • Removal purportedly contravening the Company’s articles of association and not serving shareholders’ best interests; • Failure by the board to assess potential legal and financial ramifications of the dismissal.

A second email dated 11 June 2026 reiterated these points. On 9 June 2026, Mr. Qin lodged a claim under Part VIA of the Employment Ordinance, and on 24 July 2026 he initiated Labour Tribunal proceedings seeking HK$3.07 million, or alternatively terminal payments to be assessed.

Chiho Environmental’s board “considers the allegations unfounded and unsubstantiated” but has engaged external legal counsel to address the claim. The board also maintains its earlier position that the removal does not materially affect group operations and that Mr. Qin’s duties will be reassigned once suitable candidates are identified.

No additional matters related to the removal require shareholder attention, according to the announcement.
