Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has flagged Riverine China Holdings Limited for an unusually high concentration of shareholding as of 14 August 2026, heightening the risk of sharp price swings.

On the review date, two substantial shareholders—Yomi.sun Holding Limited (beneficial owner: Mr. Sun Taoyong) and Lucky Yang Limited (beneficial owner: Mr. Yang Xingyun)—controlled a combined 300.18 million shares, equal to 74.12 % of Riverine China’s 405.00 million issued shares. An additional group of 20 shareholders held 62.42 million shares (15.41 %), while 11.70 million shares (2.89 %) were registered under HKSCC Nominees Limited but not lodged in CCASS. In aggregate, 92.42 % of the company’s equity resided with a limited number of holders, leaving only 30.70 million shares (7.58 %) available to other investors.

The concentrated ownership coincided with an extraordinary rally in the stock. Riverine China’s closing price soared 4,015 % from HK$0.20 on 12 May 2026 to HK$8.23 on 14 August 2026. The share price subsequently ended at HK$7.48 on 31 August 2026, still up 3,640 % from the 12 May benchmark.

Given the tight free float, even modest trading volumes could trigger significant price volatility. The SFC advises shareholders and prospective investors to exercise extreme caution when dealing in the shares.
