To enhance the cybersecurity awareness of residents and foster a secure, clear, and civilized online environment, Shuyuan Township in Dongshan District recently organized activities for National Cybersecurity Awareness Week. These efforts are designed to strengthen the public's ability to recognize, prevent, and resist fraud.

During the campaign, government officials participated in focused study sessions on key cybersecurity laws and regulations, including the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China and the Data Security Law of the People's Republic of China. The sessions also highlighted potential risks in daily office routines, such as the transmission of confidential documents and the management of WeChat work groups.

Meanwhile, volunteers visited villages and communities to educate residents about common threats, including telecom and pension fraud. Drawing on real fraud cases prevalent in rural areas, they reminded villagers to avoid clicking on unfamiliar links, refrain from disclosing personal information, and never transfer money to unknown accounts, always safeguarding their hard-earned savings.

Looking ahead, Shuyuan Township plans to continue regular cybersecurity awareness campaigns. By innovating promotional methods and enriching educational content, the township aims to strengthen the rural cybersecurity "protective net" and steadfastly protect residents' property safety.
