Midea Group Buys Back 480,000 A-Shares for RMB 41.42 Million and Issues 68,565 New Shares via Option Exercise

Midea Group Co., Ltd. disclosed a Next Day Disclosure Return dated 11 September 2026 outlining simultaneous share buyback and option-exercise activity that modestly reduced the company’s outstanding share count.

On 11 September 2026, the company repurchased 480,000 A-shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange at prices between RMB 85.98 and RMB 86.85 per share, bringing the cash outlay to approximately RMB 41.42 million. The repurchased shares will be held as treasury stock for subsequent cancellation, lifting total treasury shares to 167.44 million.

The same day, 68,565 new A-shares were issued following exercises under the Ninth Stock Option Incentive Plan at an exercise price of RMB 41.44 per share. This issuance expanded the share base by just 0.00101%.

After netting both transactions, Midea Group’s issued shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) fell by 411,435 to 6.81105 billion—a 0.006% decrease—while total issued shares, including treasury, inched up to 6.97849 billion.

The board confirmed that all actions were duly authorised and executed in full compliance with the Hong Kong Listing Rules and Shenzhen Stock Exchange regulations.
