MetaOptics Ltd on Sep, 11 2026 said it has signed individual placement agreements with eight private investors to issue 2,685,825 new ordinary shares at 0.3912 Singapore dollars each.

The placement will raise gross proceeds of about 1.1 million Singapore dollars and net approximately 1.0 million Singapore dollars after expenses of roughly 36,500 Singapore dollars. The issue price represents an 8.0% discount to the Sep, 11 2026 volume-weighted average price of 0.4253 Singapore dollars per share.

The new shares equal about 1.11% of MetaOptics’ existing 242,648,260 issued shares and will expand the company’s share base to 245,334,085 shares. The largest subscriber, Elsoft Systems Sdn Bhd, will take 1,278,118 shares for 0.5 million Singapore dollars, lifting its stake from 0.6% to 1.1%. No placee will hold 5% or more of the enlarged capital, and no controlling interest will change hands.

The stock sale will be executed under the company’s April 2026 general mandate and is not underwritten; no placement agent or introducer has been appointed. Listing and quotation approval for the new shares on the SGX-ST Catalist board is pending.

Net proceeds will be used entirely to accelerate full automation of the group’s metalens colour camera-module production line and to support the launch of MetaPhone, its forthcoming metalens-enabled 5G ultra-thin smartphone.
