UBTECH Robotics Unveils First Smart Factory Capable of Supporting 10,000-Unit Annual Humanoid Robot Output

UBTECH ROBOTICS has officially commenced operations at its new super smart factory for industrial humanoid robots, with a launch ceremony held recently in the Liubei New Ecological Zone of Liuzhou, Guangxi. This facility stands as the world's first smart manufacturing benchmark plant designed to handle an annual production capacity of 10,000 humanoid robots.

Leveraging industrial simulation systems for intelligent planning and a digital "smart brain" for site-wide coordination, the factory fully implements a new quality productivity model focused on "using robots to build robots." This milestone underscores a significant shift for China's humanoid robot sector as it transitions into a new phase of large-scale, standardized, and digitalized production.

The super smart factory spans 14,000 square meters with a building height of 13.8 meters. It will primarily manufacture the Walker S series and Cruzr series of embodied intelligent industrial humanoid robots. Based on the designed production rhythm, the facility can complete the assembly of one industrial humanoid robot every 10 minutes, achieving a planned annual output exceeding 10,000 units.

Notably, the successful launch of this factory is the result of a deep strategic collaboration between UBTECH ROBOTICS and Siemens Digital Industries Software. Together, the two companies have worked across core areas including plant planning, full product lifecycle management, digital twin simulation, intelligent system configuration, production scheduling, and end-to-end quality control to build a bespoke digital manufacturing foundation. This addresses key pain points in humanoid robot mass production.

At the overall planning level, the project adopts Siemens' digital factory simulation platform, developing a full-plant logistics simulation model based on Plant Simulation. This model recreates workshop pathways, workstations, shelves, and AGV operating parameters at a one-to-one ratio, allowing for virtual testing and optimization of the complete flow—from raw material warehousing and semi-finished product transport to empty box returns and finished goods dispatch. This approach prevents layout flaws and bottlenecks early on, significantly lowering on-site commissioning costs and boosting material turnover efficiency, while also supporting future capacity expansion and faster onboarding of new products to enable flexible production line upgrades.

On the production operations management front, the partnership has resulted in the co-development of the Yanshee MOM manufacturing operations management system, built upon Siemens' Intelligence Center X enterprise-level intelligent agent platform. This system functions as the digital "smart brain" for the entire factory.
