Fuel Price Adjustment Announcement Scheduled for Late September

International oil prices climbed on the 14th. By the close of trading, light crude oil futures for October delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose $1.34 to settle at $101.39 per barrel, a gain of 1.34%. Meanwhile, Brent crude oil futures for November delivery on the London ICE Futures Exchange increased $1.07 to close at $105.68 per barrel, marking a 1.02% rise.

Under the existing fuel pricing mechanism, domestic petrol stations are set to undergo a new round of price adjustments in September, scheduled for 24:00 on September 24th. Expectations for a price increase in this round have been building, with projected hikes now surpassing earlier estimates, making a substantial rise all but certain.

According to the latest calculations, gasoline and diesel prices are expected to rise by 530 yuan per ton and 510 yuan per ton, respectively. Converted to retail prices, this translates to an increase of 0.42 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, 0.45 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.44 yuan per liter for 0-diesel.
