The township adheres to a trinity of protection covering farmland quantity, quality, and ecology, resolutely curbing the non-agricultural use of arable land and strictly controlling its conversion to non-grain purposes. By refining management measures, optimizing land consolidation, strictly rectifying violations, and deepening policy outreach, the township is steadily advancing the correction of farmland satellite image spot issues and continuously elevating the standardization and precision of farmland governance.

Focused efforts are being channeled into project planning to refine the land use layout. Zhaihuo Township is actively seeking project funding from higher levels and pushing forward the implementation of comprehensive land consolidation projects. Aligned with the county-level territorial spatial planning framework, the township has scientifically delineated five functional zones, precisely targeting four key areas: land remediation, ecological restoration, living environment enhancement, and industrial advancement, with seven priority consolidation projects in the pipeline. Concurrently, supporting developments across all 24 administrative villages are being advanced, including infrastructure upgrades, ecological and environmental governance, and drought resilience improvements. These steps continuously optimize rural production and living spaces, better the rural habitat, and tangibly boost residents' sense of gain and fulfillment.

Crackdowns on illegal activities are being intensified to drive problem resolution. The township maintains an unwavering zero-tolerance stance against illegal farmland occupation, prioritizing non-residential structures on agricultural land. Adopting tailored strategies for each plot, categorized handling, and closed-loop rectification, it systematically addresses and clears various farmland issues. In September, 26 farmland rectification tasks were catalogued, with 7 led by county authorities. To date, 1 demolition has been completed, 3 cases resolved through procedure completion, and 5 instances adjusted in land use nature. The remaining issues are steadily progressing through demolition or procedural remedies, achieving a rectification completion rate of 70.09%. Regarding historical spot issues in scenic areas, the township has proactively coordinated with county-level departments such as ecological environment and natural resources. Following legal procedures, compliant structures erected before the implementation of the Environmental Protection Law have been formally closed out, prudently resolving longstanding legacy challenges.

Outreach and guidance are being deepened to unite collective governance efforts. Leveraging village broadcasts, WeChat work groups, and doorstep visits through both online and offline channels, the township regularly communicates farmland protection policies, including the six prohibitions and eight restrictions. Farmland protection requirements have been woven into village rules and covenants, with routine legal education fostering law-abiding land use awareness among residents. This cultivates a baseline mindset of mandatory reporting for any land disturbance, encourages proactive public participation in farmland protection, and fosters a robust atmosphere of shared responsibility for safeguarding arable land. Zhaihuo Township will continue to solidify its属地 management responsibility for farmland protection, focus on clearing remaining rectification tasks, accelerate the identification and closure of historical structures, conduct routine farmland inspections to prevent issue recurrence, and uphold the arable land red line through meticulous, sustained governance, thereby cementing the district's food security foundation.
