Kush Desai, a White House spokesman, stated, "From the administration's perspective, the Fed's rate hike decision today is quite regrettable and does not have particularly persuasive economic grounds."
When questioned about whether President Trump still has confidence in the independence of the Federal Reserve chairman, Desai responded affirmatively, saying, "Of course."
