Yu Yong has been appointed as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ali Health, according to an official announcement. He will also step down from his previous role as General Manager of Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group.

Shen Difan, the outgoing Chairman and CEO, will remain with the Alibaba Group, where he will support Eddie Wu in exploring artificial intelligence applications within the biomedical sector.

Where to begin with his background: Yu Yong joined Alibaba in 2005 and has spent more than two decades deeply engaged in the consumer and e-commerce sectors, building extensive expertise in merchant operations and supply chain optimization.

The company's financial performance remains on solid footing. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, Ali Health reported revenue of RMB 34.255 billion, representing a 12% year-over-year increase, while net profit reached RMB 1.936 billion, up 35.2% from the prior year.

This leadership transition comes at a time when Ali Health is poised to continue its steady growth trajectory under new management.
