Want Want China Holdings Limited reported a fresh on-market repurchase of 3.40 million ordinary shares on 11 September 2026. The shares were bought at prices between HK$2.81 and HK$2.84, for a total consideration of HK$9.60 million, implying an average cost of HK$2.82 per share.
Including this latest transaction, the company has acquired 38.61 million shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since the current buy-back mandate was approved on 25 August 2026. The cumulative amount represents 0.33% of the 11.73 billion issued shares outstanding on the mandate date. The approved mandate allows repurchases of up to 1.17 billion shares, leaving more than 1.13 billion shares—over 96% of the limit—still available.
Between 26 August and 11 September, 35.41 million repurchased shares remained pending cancellation. Average transaction prices over this period ranged from HK$2.86 to HK$3.34 per share, reflecting disciplined execution within a narrow trading band.
Despite the ongoing buy-backs, Want Want China’s issued share capital stood unchanged at 11.73 billion shares as of 11 September 2026, with no treasury shares on the balance sheet. In line with Hong Kong Stock Exchange regulations, the company is restricted from issuing new shares or transferring any treasury shares until 11 October 2026.
