Holiday Trading Alert: Hong Kong Market Shut on October 1 During National Day Break

As the National Day holiday approaches, the Hong Kong stock market will be closed for one day on Thursday, October 1, with trading resuming as usual on Friday, October 2.

For the southbound Stock Connect, services will be unavailable from Thursday, October 1 through Wednesday, October 7, and will reopen as normal starting Thursday, October 8. Similarly, the northbound Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Connect channels will not operate during the same period, from October 1 to October 7, before resuming on October 8.

The A-share market will observe a seven-day closure from Thursday, October 1 to Wednesday, October 7, with regular trading recommencing on Thursday, October 8. In contrast, the U.S. stock market will continue to operate normally throughout this period.
