Ainong Township Launches Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign

To advance the 2026 National Cybersecurity Awareness Week initiative and promote relevant laws and regulations, Ainong Township has organized a themed campaign to strengthen residents' cybersecurity awareness and protective capabilities.

During the market day rush, staff distributed leaflets and engaged residents in face-to-face discussions about common risks, including telecom fraud, personal data protection, false information identification, pension scams, and online rumors. They advised residents to avoid clicking suspicious links and never share bank card numbers, verification codes, or other sensitive details, while encouraging critical thinking when encountering information online to safeguard personal finances.

Posters were placed prominently within the township government compound to foster a secure working environment, urging officials and staff to lead by example in studying cybersecurity practices, standardizing office network usage, and reinforcing confidentiality protocols.

This initiative effectively bridged the gap in cybersecurity education, raising awareness among both grassroots officials and the broader community. Going forward, Ainong Township plans to continue regular awareness campaigns, diversify outreach methods, and expand coverage to solidify its network defense mechanisms across the region.
