Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) has unveiled procurement intentions for seven major instrument and equipment packages, with a combined budget of 102 million yuan. The planned acquisitions span cutting-edge technologies including industrial inspection robotic control systems, spatial inspection control devices, integrated energy IoT intelligent management platforms, distribution and consumption network simulation platforms, edge network computing-scheduling platforms, high-performance programmable DPU scheduling systems, and industrial internet intelligent agent development platforms. The equipment purchases are scheduled to take place between August and October 2026.

Breaking down the procurement list, the Industrial Intelligent Agent Development Environment Goods Procurement Project is set to acquire edge network computing-scheduling platforms, high-performance programmable DPU scheduling platforms, and industrial internet intelligent agent development platforms. These systems will support the design and development of industrial intelligent agents, enhancing capabilities for intelligent service creation and delivery across the industrial internet. The budget stands at 7.05 million yuan, with procurement planned for October 2026.

The New Power Grid Control and Simulation Platform Goods Procurement Project involves acquiring industrial inspection robotic control devices, industrial spatial inspection control devices, integrated energy IoT intelligent management platforms, and distribution and consumption network simulation platforms. These tools will facilitate application validation of industrial internet digital-intelligent services in new power grid scenarios for control and simulation purposes. This project is budgeted at 7.16 million yuan, also scheduled for October 2026.

For the Industrial Network Management Platform Goods Procurement Project, BUPT plans to purchase industrial network management development platforms and industrial terminal simulators. These will support network management functions, terminal simulation access, and associated development capabilities, aiming to bolster industrial internet network operation and management. The allocated budget is 5.07 million yuan, with procurement expected in October 2026.

The Industrial IoT Testing Environment Goods Procurement Project will secure network and business probes, industrial programmable intelligent gateways, software-defined high-frequency industrial signal detectors, and industrial IoT development platforms. These components are designed to construct an industrial IoT testing environment, strengthening IoT access and service capabilities. The budget for this initiative is 10.2 million yuan, with procurement planned for October 2026.

The Industrial Data Trusted Sharing Service Platform Goods Procurement Project focuses on acquiring domestically produced industrial digital foundations, industrial data trusted sharing and security management platforms, industrial data flow detection platforms, and blockchain edge intelligent devices. These will support trusted data sharing services and elevate industrial internet data service capabilities. The project carries a budget of 9.95 million yuan, scheduled for October 2026.

The Low-Orbit Satellite Seamless Handover Microwave Communication System Goods Procurement Project involves the acquisition of six sets of specialized equipment. This includes one cloud-native data transmission station for data transfer functions with encrypted protection, supporting wide-area networking tests and 6G mobile deployment by strategically positioning the station in high-availability geographic locations based on weather and atmospheric channel characteristics. Additionally, one integrated measurement and control station will handle satellite telemetry commands and data reception. Two spaceborne microwave communication payloads will work in conjunction with ground stations for microwave signal transmission, reception, intelligent data processing, and storage. One mobile dispatch control machine will manage and schedule mobile microwave communication and data transmission tasks. Finally, one spaceborne integrated communication-computing payload will deploy core network control plane functions, store status data, and synchronize with ground base stations to support 6G-oriented satellite access handover mechanisms and key technology verification. The budget for this project is 21.55 million yuan, with procurement slated for September 2026.

The Heterogeneous Integrated Intelligent Native Deterministic Network Goods Procurement Project aims to construct a heterogeneous integrated intelligent native deterministic network system through the purchase of 56 sets of specialized equipment. The key building modules include a programmable deterministic bearer network module, which uses programmable deterministic devices to build a bearer network capable of real-time analysis of transmission link requirements and status, ensuring stable and efficient data transmission across wide-area deterministic links. A cloud-edge-end intelligent control orchestration module will build a cloud-edge collaborative intelligent computing framework supporting real-time space-terrestrial data processing, enabling efficient bidirectional data transmission and computing for large-scale data demands. An intelligent integrated semantic communication module will leverage advanced AI semantic understanding capabilities, combined with channel status and network resources, to extract and compress high-level semantic information from transmission sources. This enables elastic transmission and efficient recovery of semantic information, establishing intelligent integrated semantic communication systems for restricted environments such as satellite-terrestrial links, unmanned scenarios, and industrial internet applications. This largest project carries a budget of 41.19 million yuan, with procurement planned for August 2026.

All planned acquisitions reflect BUPT's strategic focus on advancing industrial internet technologies, next-generation power grid solutions, and 6G communication systems, positioning the university at the forefront of digital infrastructure innovation.
