Shares of Huayan Robotics staged a dramatic rally on September 11, climbing as much as 80% in afternoon trading to touch HK$17. At the time of writing, trading turnover in the stock had surpassed HK$300 million.
The surge follows the company's official inclusion in the Stock Connect program on September 7, which allows mainland Chinese investors to buy and sell the stock through the Shanghai and Shenzhen Connect schemes. Additionally, Huayan Robotics was simultaneously added as a constituent of the Hang Seng Composite Index, with both changes taking effect on the same day.
Huayan Robotics stands out as the only platform-type robotics enterprise among the latest batch of newly included Stock Connect targets that covers collaborative robot complete machines, core motion components for embodied intelligence, and precision motion platforms all under one roof.
In a fresh research report, BOCOM International initiated coverage on Huayan Robotics with a "Buy" rating and a target price of HK$23.13. The brokerage firm argues that the market has largely mispriced Huayan as merely a single-product collaborative robot manufacturer. In reality, it has evolved into a platform-driven robotics company scaled by collaborative robots, with core motion components and motion control capabilities serving as its key growth engines—this, according to the report, represents one of the biggest expectation gaps in the current market. The firm projects a compound annual growth rate of approximately 51% in revenue between 2026 and 2028, with core motion components expanding from 25.6% of total revenue in 2025 to roughly 40% between 2027 and 2028. BOCOM also expects the company to achieve net profitability on a parent-company basis by 2026.
Moreover, Huayan Robotics officially unveiled its next-generation HRC platform on September 4, positioning it as a "cerebellum" platform for the era of embodied intelligence. The platform establishes a standardized real-time control architecture that links upper-level AI large models with physical robotic bodies, aiming to resolve core industry bottlenecks such as the difficulty of deploying AI algorithms into physical robots and insufficient precision in dynamic interaction control.
That said, the company's interim financial results remain under pressure from losses. According to its half-year report, for the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, the company's net loss widened to RMB 56.904 million, compared to a loss of RMB 19.174 million in the same period last year.
