On September 13, maintenance personnel conducted inspections at the 1# 330-kilovolt booster station of the Beihu Wind Power Base in Dunhuang City, Gansu Province.
In recent years, Dunhuang City, situated at the westernmost tip of the Hexi Corridor, has capitalized on its abundant wind energy potential by vigorously advancing its wind power sector. The city's first wind project was connected to the grid at the Beihu Wind Power Base in 2022, and after several years of growth, the region now boasts 1.08 million kilowatts of completed wind power capacity, with an additional 1.95 million kilowatts under construction or in the planning stages, signaling a promising outlook for the industry's expansion.
Aerial and ground-level views of the wind farms at the Beihu Wind Power Base were captured on September 13, showcasing the scale of the installations. Workers were also observed pouring concrete foundations for turbine bases at a new wind power project at the same site that day, highlighting the ongoing development activity in the area.
