Woolworths Group (ASX:WOW) faces allegations of anti-competitive behavior after up to 15 of its uniformed employees walked into an IGA store in Perth to check prices and browse product displays, The Australian reported Friday.

The Woolworths employees allegedly told the owners of the independent grocery store that they want to "beat" IGA with a new Woolworths outlet that is due to open nearby in a month, prompting the owners to notify the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission about the incident, according to the report.

Woolworths did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
