Restaurant Brands International Renews Normal Course Issuer Bid

Restaurant Brands International's notice that it will renew its normal course issuer bid for common shares of its stock was accepted by the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The normal course issuer bid is being conducted as part of the company's share repurchase plan for up to $1 billion of its common stock through Sept. 30 of next year, the company said Friday.

Restaurant Brands has a market cap of $34.77 billion, 348.76 million shares outstanding, and a public float of 341.4 million shares.

The company's brands include Popeyes, Tim Hortons, and Burger King.

Shares ended the day's market trading session on the New York Stock Exchange up less than 1% to close at $76.96, and are now up 13% this year. On the Toronto Stock Exchange, shares rose less than 1% on the day and closed at C$106.75.
