Chevron (CVX) Australia President Balaji Krishnamurthy told Bloomberg TV in an interview Monday that liquefied natural gas prices are unlikely to come down over the next six months or so.

Krishnamurthy also said the US-Iran war has led customers to increasingly seek long-term supply contracts.

According to Krishnamurthy, while there could be some demand adjustments in the short term, but long-term fundamentals, particularly for LNG, remain very strong.

Krishnamurthy said the rise of artificial intelligence will also be a key source of LNG demand growth.

Chevron Australia did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
