Palantir Technologies' (PLTR) software demand is running ahead of the company's ability to meet it, with customers expanding their use of the platform for operational decision-making and AI model fine-tuning, UBS Securities said Monday in a report.

Conversations at a Palantir customer event reinforced the view of the company as a leading enabler of practical enterprise AI adoption, with executives arguing that large language models still lack the precision to work reliably with existing corporate systems, the report said.

UBS also highlighted a deepening relationship between Palantir and Nvidia (NVDA), noting that Nvidia is using Palantir to optimize its chip supply chain. Palantir executives pushed back on concerns that improving LLMs could substitute for its platform or that the upcoming US midterm elections pose political risk, the report said.

UBS raised its price target on Palantir stock to $250 from $220 and maintained its buy rating.

Palantir shares rose 1.3% in Tuesday trading, and Nvidia gained 0.3%.
