Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google Cloud said Tuesday it opened the Singapore Engineering Center, its flagship product development hub in Southeast Asia.
The center plans to collaborate with Singaporean enterprises to translate artificial intelligence research into production-ready cloud systems, according to a statement.
Google Cloud said it also plans to invest more in its regional Forward Deployed Engineer workforce to advance the products from the center into commercial production.
