Baldwin Group (BWIN) shares were up 4.8% pre-bell on Monday following a Financial Times report on Sunday that it may be taken private by an investor group led by the family office of tech mogul Michael Dell.

The consortium, led by Dell family office DFO Management and Sequence Holdings, could announce a deal as soon as Monday, provided there are no last-minute complications, according to the report.

The DFO-Baldwin transaction is expected to value Baldwin at $32.50 a share, representing an enterprise value of about $7.7 billion, the people told FT.

DFO Management is a venture capital-backed investment house, primarily focused on the service sector, and Baldwin is a commercial insurance broker.

DFO, Baldwin and Sequence did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
