Around 67% of New South Wales Voters Support Uranium Mining to Address Climate Change, Minerals Council of Australia Says

Around 67% of the voters in New South Wales support uranium mining in the Australian state if it helps address climate change, the Minerals Council of Australia said in a statement on Tuesday, citing a survey of 1,000 voters.
A total of 52% of respondents supported uranium being mined in the state in the same way it is mined in other parts of Australia. A similar proportion of voters said they'd support nuclear energy generation in Australia if uranium mining was allowed in New South Wales.
Medical and scientific uses were the top two reasons to support uranium mining in the state, per the statement.
