Contineum Therapeutics Shares Fall After Drug Trial Missed Primary Endpoint

Shares of Contineum Therapeutics were trading lower after-hours Monday, following news a Phase 2 trial of an treatment for depression failed to meet its primary efficacy endpoint.

Contineum said JNJ-5120/PIPE-307 is being developed by Johnson & Johnson under a global license and development agreement. The Phase 2 Moonlight-1 trial didn't meet its primary efficacy endpoint, although the treatment was well-tolerated with no new safety signals, the company added.

Analyses of the data are ongoing, Contineum said.

After the bell, shares of Contineum were trading 8.2% lower, at $13.59. The stock ended the day's regular session flat, at $14.82.
