Sai MicroElectronics Subsidiary to Invest in Equipment Manufacturing Fund

Sai MicroElectronics (SHE:300456) subsidiary Beijing Microchip Technology is looking to commit 144 million yuan as a limited partner in a high-end equipment manufacturing fund, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
The investment is equivalent to 28.8% of the 500 million yuan Anhui Rongguan Yongke Venture Capital Fund Partnership, the filing said.
The fund will invest in industrial robots, additive manufacturing for 3D printing, engineering machinery, intelligent equipment, aerospace, and rail transit equipment. It will also invest in high-end CNC machinery tools, medical devices, and new-generation information technology equipment, the filing said.
